In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 22nd Annual Global Child Nutrition Forum will be held virtually in a series of related events from 26 October through 12 November 2020. Through an engaging virtual experience, GCNF aims to accomplish all of the key goals of a Global Forum – to support countries in the development and implementation of sustainable school feeding programs – through a virtual platform.
This year’s Forum comes at an unprecedented time when school meal programs are more important than ever. With over 370 million children missing out on school meals amid school closures, countries are struggling to ensure children safely receive the nutritious school meals they need to learn and thrive. In many cases, school districts, nonprofits, businesses, and community groups are finding creative ways to ensure that school meals are still accessible to those who need them the most.
